Do I see murderous look on your face ? Demonetisation, you so do want to hear/read this word! And, I just couldn't help but bring this up, for the Effect ! And boy, do I see many a thoughts & expressions fleeting across your faces ..... mission accomplished :)
On a resolute note , Demonitization of Life's events in 2016, will just help us Orenda-ize 2017, invoking our personal strength , to reconstruct destiny , to illuminate the ensemble around you!
This year brings to mind the Latin phrase , Amor fati - "love of one's fate". An attitude, where one sees everything that happens in one's life, as necessary, whether one likes them or not. It's an acceptance of the events or situations that occur in one's life, with a sense of contentment & an acceptance of it, such that one could live life, in all its minute details. Every aspect of this year is just that - Amor fati - I wouldn't want it any other way, I have lived every minute ! An easy paced year , which picked up momentum in the fag end , with after effects already being reflected in coming year.
Zangoora @ Kingdom of dreams, made way for musical bonanza - Beauty & the Beast, Gandhi- the musical , to Mughal e Azam. Every performance held it's own & at the same time , they unveiled , on how we are growing in this genre of theatre - Proud moments, for sure!
Tomfoolery ruled our escapades to Goa, Agra , Jaipur & Ahmedabad- not to miss the impromptu visit at Elephanta Caves! These were highlighted by travels to the Land of Monasteries coupled with pristine beauty at Ladakh, the most memorable experience at Simhastha , Kumbh Mela , Ujjain & the totally relaxed pace of life in the backwaters of Kerala !
Pulse missed a few throbs, with tad unforeseen events - death has become a part of us now, knowledge & how to deal with formidable ailment, not far behind - a reminder of how capricious & fragile life is. Relationships did their own number of keeping us on the edge , surprising us every so often with their unpredictability and we all survived the tidal waves of Silence , Madness , Retrospections , Heart to hearts & so much more. Meeting friends after 30 years or more , an unexpected beer binge - each held its own charm. And a reaffirmation of - friends pick up from where they left off.
If Friends, be Lifelines, then, Kids be , Heartbeats. Christmas became Kidzmas, where the kids dominated. The rhythm of these hearbeats brings this year to its youthful finale. Energies were at it's zenith. Total stranger became friends in minutes. Old bonds strengthened & new shaped. The child in me pampered- spontaneity & curiosity , rekindled. And so, I can't help but mention, these lines by , Neuroscientist Dr R Jose - " Within the core of each of us is the child we once were. This child constitutes the foundation of what we have become , who we are and what we will be! "
The swan song of 2016 is on Saturday , a toast to memories of having lived life to its best , if not fullest , allowing 2017 , to buckle down on a lazy Sunday, ready to tackle anything and everything that comes along. Gear up , put on your dancing shoes , bring out the child in you & let 2017 showcase the beauty , which is - You !
