2013, Kickstart to a New Beginning!

The world did not end . Every closure is a kickstart to a new Beginning. No Mayan calendar can scare this die hard generation like us people into submission , can they now ? The Mayan didn't realize then, how the world would have changed with the burst of technology . As the year struggled through its prediction of mayhem , it survived and how . We survived our personal endeavor's. Mother nature showed her unrest at being taken for granted. Political scenario which took a beating for various issues. If the death of a young woman in Ireland , a young man killing innocent children, the death of a young girl in Delhi can bring about a metamorphosis ...it is a new Dawn. Time for every individual to take onus, to spread awareness, a mind set refinement, for courage. Time for many Malala Yousafzai's... Time for action.

Duniya ek taraf, this year was a kaleidoscope of  every emotions there possible can be. First time ever , snap of the finger, impromptu  decision to go to Bhopal , thanks to Haroon's emotional blackmail. Dads 75 th surprise birthday party , which he is still not sure happened . Short trips to Delhi , Calcutta ( owe this one to Muni and her straightforward one liner, which was , cancelling your trip is not an option & this being Mother's trip after 40 years)  and Bhubaneswar , chilling, partying , heart to hearts , reconnect with Mummum after eons,  making new friends who i feel have known forever, meeting friends for the first time who I had only heard about or spoken to, saree shopping in Calcutta as if it was going out of style ! Atlast, Deepali's visit to Orissa. Inder's move from Aurangabad back to Delhi , to be with his Mom and sister.... my young responsible family man. Ruchi and Deia , our celebrities, their mugshots  on newspapers! :) . Dad's wrist fracture wasn't enough, Mother had a fall at Bhubaneswar, scarping one side of the face completely(miracle no internal injuries or broken bones), disoriented, barely able to talk,brought home by complete strangers, people like these are the ones who makes our tainted world , still so sacred . A year , when we lost some very dear friends and family,their memory shall linger on , for always. 

The Cessation of 2012, is the Inception of 2013. Drop 2012 into a silent oblivion of the past, let it go, with the knowledge , that , Best Memories are the one's that you cant explain but in the end ,you just end up saying, You had to be there. Celebrate every Moment. Don't be afraid of change .You may end up loosing something better but you will mostly end up gaining something better . 

Before winding up ,i can't help but quote Oscar Wilde, "I am so clever that sometimes I don't understand a single word of what I am saying." :))))))

"Prayers are invisible as are Blessings but make impossible things possible,It's God's part to do the wonders,ours is the simplest part...... Just Believe in Miracle of our own focus blessed with Grace of the Unknown".

Courage is Grace Under Pressure

Do we have that Courage ? Courage that borders on bravado and fear. Fear, which as a positive trait manifest into Courage, which gives us strength to overcome the same Fear .... What a vicious circle this is ! Bravado, however positive , however Feel good perception, will at some point reach that breaking point , when realization hits , and you go ... Hey ... I am susceptible and boy oh boy , what a shock that is!

 

To be Scared is not a sign of weakness is it ? It shows that you are Human after all , with your vulnerability . Scared, brought about by the fear of the unknown or the inevitable.

 

Grace is the positive energy that we instill in each other, a courage that we so lack and still showcase, the pretence of Courage. It is the collective support and unconditional love. It is the confidence in your own effort. Grace is the trust and blessings from every source , known & unknown!

 

Courage is in so many ways , a Choice , a choice that you make to tackle an issue, a situation ...... when you do what has to be done , even if its painful.

 

And we have , Strength. Strength of the mind and the body, which gives Courage the kickass it needs to plunge ahead!! :-)

A Fish called ........ Wisdom! One tiny Aquarium , One Episode & ........

Whhooooshhh , flying at breakneck speed , in every direction possible , a complete Acrobat. A Halcyon Goldfish, deciding to test our resolve of checking, if he was Alive! The lone survivor out of 7 in our small aquarium, within a span of 3 weeks.

A week of being on his own & the Black Moor too, started to gasp for breathe, hardly moved and even his skin, fin, tail started to fall apart. I switched off the oxygen , since there was no movement that day , waiting for him to say Adieu . We observe some movement & I switch on the oxygen again. But our chap is frail , lethargic......

Three days of bidding for time, he survives. We notice tiny, kind of transparent , Lice like insect which have attached themselves to the fish & a few swimming around in the water. However, some instinct propels Mom to check these with a magnifying glass & Lo Behold ..... these are no vermins but baby fish! Which means , our Black Moor is a female & she laid eggs which are babies now!

We are spellbound, confused & before we can digest this discovery, our Mommy black moor takes her last breath. Will these babies survive, I have no clue, however, we sure were hit by a few questions, some information, some knowledge & some Wisdom..... thought provoking phenomenon this is ....

·        We still might not know when a fish is going to have babies, but we will differentiate between them & Lice!

·        Did all the other fish in the aquarium die because the Mother had to lay the Eggs & these would not become food for all the adult fish. A coincidence this?? Or the fact that we didn't clean the tank as often as we do, since just one fish didn't dirty the aquarium as much as seven, else ......

·        Do the baby fish attach themselves on the mother to feed on her? This is their survival & the mothers sacrifice. Matsya, the first incarnation of Lord Vishnu, which carried every species from the old, destroyed world to the New, before destroying itself. Is this a classic example of that???

·         Life & Death is not in our hand. Inspite of a day without oxygen, the Mother survived , to give birth to her entire brood, and only then did she die!

·        It is all about Survival of the fittest, in any situation that the Baby fish have been thrown into, the strongest amongst them will grow to be adults!

·        A fish that kept showing us signs of Life , while giving Life . In its subtle way , she made sure we recognized & acknowledged her babies!

·        A fish that showed us patience & true grid.

·        An acknowledgement of our Ignorance to this phenomenon, an Experience which lead to some Wisdom. A recognition that every day, every moment , every situation, if one is Aware , there is a Teaching !
